Spent 12 years working with various school systems and community agencies focused on developing and providing comprehensive support services in the areas of mental illness, adolescent substance abuse, recovery from trauma related to sexual assault and violence, conflict resolution and mediation, and gang violence.
Helped develop, coordinate and implement services related to a $3 million gang violence suppression grant, working with The Santa Barbara Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, The Santa Barbara Dept of County Education, and the Santa Barbara Police Department.
Worked with the Santa Barbara District Attorney's office on a project to decrease truancy and increase school achievement through school based substance abuse and mental health treatment.
Earned a BA in Psychology from University of California at Santa Barbara and a MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Santa Barbara.
